Riolu did not come out of his pokéball again until he was called upon. Truth be told that it didn’t take long before it happened but it was still impressive.
A wild gothita had wandered into our battlefield and as soon as it saw me, the stance changed to aggressive and the wild pokémon started heading right towards me.
I released Riolu and he landed on his hind legs, standing on two feet for a moment before slowly going down to the ground.
Gothita readied an attack but wasn’t faster than my pokémon. He rushed forwards and unleashed “Pursuit” at point blank range, something the wild pokémon wasn’t expecting, a fatal mistake.
The battle was over, the enemy no longer alive and my pokémon, with not but a scratch, returned promptly to his pokéball.
